We are proud to say that Train Locksmiths Ltd are the only Locksmith Training Centre in the Country who can offer you a NCFE Level 3 Enhanced Locksmith Training Course Qualification (equivalent to 2 A Levels) as our 7 day course has just been awarded a Level 3 Accreditation by NCFE, the oldest national awarding body in the UK.
Level 3 Qualification
Our Locksmith Course is specially designed around anyone who has little or no experience in the Locksmith profession. Once the course has been completed you will be a fully qualified, competent & confident Locksmith.
4 Day Auto Course
This Locksmith course shows you how to cut, clone or code car keys into vehicles and how to gain access to vehicles using methods like: The Window Method, The Airbag Method, The Picking Method, Laser lock picking & jiggling.
Novice 7 Day Course
Same as the 5 Day Course (House & Industrial Locks) plus extra 2 day car opening. Once the locksmith course has been completed you will be a fully qualified, competent and confident Locksmith.

I run a key cutting shop in Gateshead so was pretty familiar with keys and locks but only ever the cutting aspect! A natural progression for me was to consider the next step and become a locksmith. I done a lot of research into the courses on the market ( of which there seems to be many ) but none of them had the appeal Train Locksmiths did after i seen there web site. Informative, helpful, through, easy to follow and in depth i quickly realised this was the course for me.
I booked a 7 day course and was not disappointed. Starting your first day you realise that its going to be a busy week but a fun and productive week there was only 3 including me in the class which made it a very personal feel and you know your onto a winner when there's a cup of coffee made for you before you even get started. ( and many more to follow through the week which is always good) Mark the instructor set out the plans for the week but said at any point if we needed to slow down or wanted to go over anything we were unsure of then all we had to do was ask. His training technique for me was perfect, easy to follow, very hands on and done in such a way you quickly find things click into place. We had 5 days on domestic locks, cylinder, mortice, padlocks etc then 2 days on car locks which was a massive bonus for me as that's a field of locksmithing i am looking to pursue.
We were given all the tools needed to do the training and the job for real after we had trained but we also were given what i think is a fantastic bonus with trainlocksmiths which is the aftercare. The fact there only a phone call away is reassuring especially when your first starting out and as a supplier of all the stock, machines, and tools you will need you know you really have got everything in place to go on and start up your business.
I would definatly recommend trainlocksmiths to anyone out there who is looking to get into this area of work. Honest, friendly, helpfull and most of all good at what they do means you will not be disappointed. I know i wasn't.

From day one, Mark put the guys in the class at ease, and made it a comfortable and perfect environment to learn especially in the subject of lock picking. Throughout the week, subject areas were dealt with and discussed whilst practical tasks were covered until all was understood and all students had achieved success. No one was left behind, whilst the guys had the freedom to work without pressure, with great support at their own pace. Techniques and skills were taught clearly and were covered and then re-addressed until everyone got the gist, whilst the tools provided (which you get to keep) did pretty much all the jobs/tasks that were asked of us.
Examinations were very straight forward and achievable following the content covered in the course. By the last day, all the guys had gelled, and were all buzzing for each other as everyone had passed.
Absolutely loved the course, totally satisfied. Have recommended it to everyone I know (of which my best friend is saving up to enroll). Maybe most impressively has been the level of support available after completion of the course. I have spent time in the shop with Martin and Rob, and have gone out with Rob for a couple of days so far (with the offer to go out more) whilst I gain a little more experience as I save the money to buy a van and basic van stock.
The guys have been really supportive, from start to finish (although the support never ends) the course has impressed me. Would recommend to anyone and everyone."
